Cercis gigantea Transcriptome or Gene expression

The giant redbud (Cercis gigantea), which is a kind of deciduous large trees with flowers similar to those of common Chinese redbud (Cercis chinensis), is one of the redbud plants native to China. It is an economically important garden plant because of beautiful tree landscape and a profusion of magenta pink flowers before the leaves in spring. Additionally, it has good abilities of nitrogen fixation, water and soil conservation and provides medicines for relieving swelling and pain. C. gigantea (provided by Yangzhou Breeding Biological Agriculture Technology Co. Ltd) was grown in an open-air place in Jiangsu Provence, Eastern China. Total RNA was extracted using TRIzol method (Invitrogen) from four different tissues of C. gigantea plant, including young roots, tender shoots, young leaves and flower buds.
