The dataset presents the food waste and meal liking data collected for a school canteens' pilot in Tricase (Italy) in the framework of the "Interreg IPA Adrion 2021-2027 – CIRCUS Project - Circular economy Strategies, action plans, and Solutions for agrifood systems transition in ADRION coastal communities". By implementing an educational intervention based on a co-created memory game and a series of classes on local, healthy and sustainable food, the pilot aimed to reduce food waste and increase the intake of fruit and vegetables in first and second grade pupils in Tricase primary schools.
