This consortium uses advanced molecular techniques and bioinformatics to help scientists more quickly identify viruses that cause disease outbreaks, as well as obtain their complete genomic information. These results will support faster detection and better molecular epidemiology of these viruses and speed up the development and improvement of vaccines to prevent diseases.
