RNA-Sequencing of two tissues of Tinca tinca. Transcriptome sequencing of Tinca tinca

Tench (Tinca tinca) has great economic potential due to its high rate of fecundity and long life span. However, the lack of genomic resources has made difficult the development of genetic markers in this species. In this study, for the first time we sequenced the tench transcriptome and genome by means high-throughput sequencing; and we applied an approach for discovering SNPs in the transcriptome.
