Total RNA-seq on purified neutrophils from healthy humans

The goal of this study was to analyze the transcriptome of circulating neutrophils from healthy human donors by high-throughput sequencing of total RNA samples obtained from neutrophils purified directly from whole blood (without density-gradient centrifugation or red blood cell lysis) by immunomagnetic negative selection. Overall design: Twenty healthy volunteers were studied (10 males and 10 females). Whole blood was obtained from healthy human donors and was collected in EDTA tubes (BD Vacutainer). Neutrophil purification was performed with the EasySep Direct Human Neutrophil Purification Kit (STEMCELL Technologies, Cat. No. 19666).
