资源简介:

This literature-derived dataset compiles monthly dormancy records for native bees across Brazil. It includes 140 phenological surveys conducted between 1967 and 2019 and provides taxonomic information, study-site coordinates, survey years, annual dormancy duration, monthly activity/dormancy status, bee functional traits, environmental variables, and bibliographic references. The associated study uses Bayesian multilevel models to examine geographic and functional-trait correlates of dormancy duration and environmental correlates of monthly dormancy probability. The dataset comprises the following three CSV tables. Use Survey_ID to link survey-level records to monthly observations. - dormancy_duration.csv contains 138 records and 14 columns, with one row per phenological survey. It provides the data used in the manuscript’s first model, which evaluated macroecological drivers of annual dormancy duration, together with survey metadata. The table includes bee taxonomy and functional traits, study-site coordinates, geographic predictors, annual dormancy duration, survey year, and the bibliographic reference for each survey. - monthly_dormancy.csv contains 1680 records and 11 columns, with one row per survey and calendar month, representing 140 surveys with 12 monthly observations each. It includes the data used in the manuscript’s second model which examined the immediate environmental triggers of seasonality. The table includes monthly dormancy status, minimum and maximum temperature, precipitation, daylength, NDVI, and biome. - data_dictionary.csv contains 25 entries and five columns, with one row per variable–table combination. It documents every column in the two observation tables, providing its exact name, definition, data type, measurement unit, and corresponding table filename.
