Kaolinite is one of the most common minerals found in various soils and sedimentary rocks. Its three-dimensional structure includes a grid of SiO4 tetrahedrons linked to a sheet of AlO4(OH)2 octahedrons. The data presented include structures of the most frequently occurring stable surfaces of kaolinite: (001), (00 -1), (010), (110). Models of these surfaces can be used to study comparative adsorption activity and stability of kaolinite particle edges.

高岭石是各类土壤和沉积岩中最为常见的矿物之一。其三维结构由SiO4四面体网格与AlO4(OH)2八面体层相连构成。本数据集呈现了高岭石最常出现的稳定表面结构:(001)、(00 -1)、(010)、(110)。这些表面的模型可用于研究高岭石颗粒边缘的比较吸附活性和稳定性。(Kaolinite)
