England: winter deaths by underlying cause of death 2012/13- 2021/22

This statistic shows the rate of excess winter deaths, by the underlying cause of death in England and Wales from 2012/13 to 2021/22. In 2021/22 there were 12.8 percent more respiratory deaths occurring in winter compared with the non-winter period.
