NRS-2196 | Calendars of persons tried before Deniliquin courts [Deniliquin Gaol]

For the Gaol Delivery, Deniliquin, the following details are given: gaol number, date of trial, name, country, ship or whether native born, by whom and when committed, when received into the gaol, the offence, Judge, verdict, sentence, date and remarks. From 1897 (for the Quarter Sessions, Deniliquin) the following details of each prisoner are shown: name, offence, date of verdict, verdict, sentence and date, remarks, and reference to previous convictions in "black book". The first volume (5/1536) which is a rougher record, overlaps the second from 1902-12. The second volume shows: number in entrance book, name, age, trade, by whom and when committed, when received into gaol, offence, Judge, verdict, sentence, date of conviction and remarks.
