Transcriptome sequencing of the human breast

To investigate the role of Endoplasmic reticulum membrane complex subunit-2 (EMC2) in breast cancer progression, we constructed shRNA sequences targeting EMC2, and effectively silenced EMC2 in the human breast cancer cell line MCF-7 through plasmid transfection (validated by qRT-PCR). Subsequently, we conducted transcriptome sequencing to determine the changes in the transcriptome landscape of MCF-7 cells resulting from EMC2 silencing (EMC2 kd [n=3] versus EMC2 con [n=3]).
