Colon cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting humans worldwide. According to the Global Cancer Statistics 2020 Cancer Statistical Assessment 2020 [16], colorectal cancer has the third highest incidence rate and the second highest mortality rate in the distribution of cancer cases and deaths. Colon cancer is characterized by a low rate of early diagnosis and insignificant symptoms; early diagnosis relies on screening and patient-initiated cooperation with screening, and intraoperative detection of micrometastases is the main cause of death in patients with localized and regional colon cancer. Therefore, the search for molecular targets that can assist in early diagnosis and improve the sensitivity of chemotherapy is important to change the current situation of colon cancer diagnosis and treatment.
