VT Designated Downtown Boundary

Downtown designation provides communities with financial incentives, training and technical assistance to support local efforts to restore historic buildings, improve housing, design walk-able communities and encourage economic development by incentivizing public and private investments. The program is administered by the Department of Housing and Community Development and the Vermont Downtown Development Board reviews and approves designation and boundaries. If available, the data is submitted by the Regional Planning Commissions as Shapefiles otherwise the approved map is scanned and digitized or parcel boundaries are used to build the boundary.
