Supplementary data for: Evolution of skeletal mineralogy in cheilostome bryozoans across shift from calcite to aragonite seas

Contains all files and code necessary to replicate study. Files are as follows:

"AGE-ONLY.xlsx": Contains names of taxa found in all localities in the AGE-ONLY half of the fossil occurrence dataset from Lidgard et al. 2021.

"BryoMinBase.csv": The database of measurements of skeletal aragonite content in bryozoans from Piwoni-Piorewicz et al. 2024.

"coords.csv": Locality information for every bryozoan-yielding locality in Lidgard et al. 2021.

"cyclostome_genera.xlsx": Contains of names of cyclostome bryozoans in the Lidgard dataset; to be removed for analysis of cheilostomes only.

"cyclostome_synonyms.xlsx": Related to #4, contains synonyms of cyclostome bryozoans.

"FOSLOCAL.xlsx": Contains names of taxa found in all localities in the FOSLOCAL half of the fossil occurrence dataset from Lidgard et al. 2021.

"genera.csv": Lists all genera in the Lidgard dataset along with some geological information.

"mineralogy_fossil.R": Contains all R code needed to replicate the fossil occurrence portion of our methods.

"mineralogy_phylo.R": Contains all R code needed to replicate the phylogenetic comparative portion of our methods.

"mineralogy_phylo_randomizing_tips.R": Related to #9, contains code to explore the consequences of randomly matching tips in the phylogeny with taxa in BryoMinBase.

"timetree.tre": Time-scaled phylogeny used in phylogenetic comparative analyses.

"XRDfossil.xlsx": A new compilation of direct measurements of aragonite content in fossil cheilostome skeletons.
