The study aimed to create a digital literacy protocol that could help provide older people with new digital skills. The project consisted of a digital literacy course for people aged 65 and over, focusing on the use of smartphones and apps for everyday life.<br> <br> The project included an evaluation component, structured into three methodologies.<br> 1) monitoring of participants' smartphones before, during and after the course, to collect information on the type of apps used, and their usage times;<br> 2) Administration of a questionnaire before and after the course to investigate:<br> - use and competence in the use of digital devices - attitudes towards digital technologies - satisfaction with life, levels of happiness and well-being - demographic and socio-economic characteristics - health conditions;<br> 3) participant observation, conducted by a member of the research team who attended all lessons, collecting ethnographic notes on interactions that took place during lessons, between participants, between participants and tutors, and between participants and technological devices.<br>
