Bacterial genome sequencing of Escherichia coli isolated from poultry

Avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) , a subpathotype of extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli (ExPEC), is the causative agent of colibacillosis in poultry, a disease that can cause significant economic losses due to high morbidity and mortality, veterinary costs, and contamination of poultry products. This study aimed to characterize the genome sequence of Escherichia coli strains isolated from poultry.
