Comprehensive analysis of circulating viral DNA in maternal plasma at population-scale using low-pass whole-genome sequencing

Here, we perform a comprehensive investigation on the distribution of circulating viral DNA elements in plasma by untargeted whole-genome sequencing approach. We mapped non-human sequence reads to different human viruses, including adenoviruses, hepatitis, herpesviruses, papillomaviruses, betaherpesvirus, polyomavirus, anellovirus, gammatorquevirus, Influenza A virus, gammapapillomavirus and endogenous retrovirus.
