Viable interspecies hybrids of recently diverged species represent an ideal system to study cis- and trans-regulatory evolution and understand those changes in the context of speciation. Our aim is to characterize and quantify gene expression and regulatory differences between between males, females, and hermaphrodites of two closely related species of nematodes: Caenorhabditis briggsae and C. nigoni, and their F1 hybrids.
