Unpredictable plant-soil feedbacks in diverse plant communities based on species-level studies

Our study revealed that when soil was conditioned by more than four species, community-level PSFs were dominated by specific species rather than being an aggregation of single-species PSFs. This pattern may occur because rhizosphere fungal communities are co-influenced by both host and neighbouring species diversity.
