Processed Heatwave Risk Data over East Asia Based on d4PDF Large Ensemble Simulations

This dataset contains processed gridded data supporting the manuscript entitled “The Role of Internal Climate Variability in Projecting Heatwave Risks Using Bivariate Frequency Analysis: Insights from Large Ensemble Simulations over East Asia” submitted to Earth’s Future. The original climate simulation data were obtained from the Database for Policy Decision-Making for Future Climate Change (d4PDF). The processed data include results for daytime heatwaves (DTH) and nighttime heatwaves (NTH) under the HPB, 2K, and 4K climate scenarios. The EFR20yr results are provided for the 2K and 4K scenarios. The Excel file consists of seven sheets: EFR20yr, Copula (Case-ICV), Copula (Case-Mean), CPmax (Case-ICV), CPmax (Case-Mean), Spatial dependence (Case-ICV), and Spatial dependence (Case-Mean). These sheets provide processed results for event frequency ratio, copula-based bivariate frequency analysis, cumulative probability corresponding to the most extreme heatwave events, and spatial dependence analysis.
