Baseline gene expression patterns of macrophages from BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice and differential gene expression after with Leishmania panamensis

A project aimed at characterizing the differences in gene expression in macrophages from BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice associated with Leishmania panamensis infection. We also aim to compare the baseline patterns of gene expression in macrophages from both mouse strains, prior to infection, in an attempt to evaluate the possible predisposition of these cells to develop specific phenotypes in response to intracellular pathogens.
