BEACON project data

This is the University of Jyväskylä's data bank for the BEACON project, which contains experimental results of wetting and semi-free swelling of three different clay materials. Data provided is collected by using a combination of X-ray radiography and post-numerical image analysis methods. These measurement techniques yield data on the time evolution of deformation and partial densities of both liquid and clay in different layers of the sample. Furthermore, the saturation process of the sample is also monitored by measuring axial swelling pressures that are also presented in this data bank.
