资源简介:
Rhipicephalus microplus, commonly known as the cattle tick, is one of the most economically important tick species globally due to its role in transmitting multiple pathogens including apicomplexan parasites Babesia bovis, Babesia bigemina, Theileria equi, and Theileria orientalis and bacterial pathogens including Anaplasma marginale and Ehrlichia minasensis an emerging pathogen. The microbial communities residing within these ticks play a critical role in survival and fitness, physiology, and vector competence . Understanding the assembly and dynamics of these microbial communities is crucial for elucidating vector-pathogen interactions and developing novel strategies for vector-borne disease management, such as anti-microbiota vaccines
