WDC Sunspot Index and Long-term Solar Observations

The WDC-SILSO is an activity of the Operational Directorate “Solar Physics and Space Weather” also known internationally as the Solar Influences Data analysis Center (SIDC). The SIDC is a department of the Royal Observatory of Belgium. Its mission is to preserve, develop and diffuse the knowledge of the long-term variations of solar activity, as a reference input to studies of the solar cycle mechanism and of the solar forcing on the Earth’s climate.WDC-SILSO是"太阳物理与空间天气业务局"的一项专项工作，该机构国际上亦称太阳影响数据分析中心（Solar Influences Data analysis Center，SIDC）。太阳影响数据分析中心（SIDC）为比利时皇家天文台的下设部门。其使命为保存、发展并传播有关太阳活动长期变化的知识，为太阳周期机制研究以及太阳活动对地球气候的强迫效应研究提供参考依据。
