SID53 Bovine Staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococcus aureus

Staphylococcus aureus is an important organism causing bovine mastitis and Indian S. aureus is not well characterized in terms of its antibiotic resistance, virulence factors, toxins and genetic background. We have done molecular characterization and whole genome sequencing of SID53 isolated from milk of a cow with sub-clinical mastitis. The PFGE pattern of this isolate is related to one of the prominent Indian human S. aureus STs and we would like to compare the genomes.
