Genotyping by sequencing of wheat germplasm from Pakistan to elucidate genetic diversity

Multi-year and multi-location trials were conducted on selected wheat varieties, advanced breeding lines, and landraces (referred to as samples) to record agro-morphological data. A sub-set of samples (N=51) were selected on the basis of agro-morphological data and DNA was extracted from leaves at seedling stage using published protocol (Ahmed et al, 2009) or commercial kits. DNA samples were quantified, lyophilized, and sent to Novogene, Hong Kong for genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) data. Cleaned sequence data and associated BAM files are being submitted to SRA.
