The Rust Commit Dataset contains Rust commit messages and their corresponding code patches from the Hyperswitch repository. With a total of 1801 examples, this dataset is formatted as prompt-response pairs for supervised fine-tuning (SFT). The data fields include the commit message describing the change (prompt) and the git patch/diff showing the actual code changes (response). The dataset was collected and parsed using PyDriller and tree-sitter, including only commits with 20+ lines changed and tracking Rust-specific identifiers.
