LA collected incinerated waste in England 2000-2019

Some 174 thousand tons of waste collected by local authorities were sent to incineration plants in 2018/19. It was the second year in a row that figures decreased from a peak of 224 metric tons recorded in 2016/17. This was excluding the volume of waste sent for waste to energy incineration plants.
