Chlorophyll-a profiles were collected in the Atlantic Ocean and adjoining seas from March 2, 1961 to October 21, 1992. The data were collected by multiple institutions as part of the North Atlantic Chlorophyll Profile Data Set. This work was supported by funding from the European Space Agency and the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans. The README.pdf file in the about/ directory contains information about the file format and data originators.
