IMOS National Reference Station (NRS) - Logsheet information

This dataset describes the logsheet information filled in during sampling at the National Reference (NRS) stations, which comprise part of a broader sampling program carried out within the Integrated Marine Observing system. Nine Sites are included in the IMOS NRS field sampling stations. Maria Island (TAS), Kangaroo Island (SA), Esperance (WA), Rottnest Island (WA), Ningaloo (WA), Darwin (NT), Yongala (QLD), North Stradbroke Island (QLD) and Port Hacking 100 (NSW).Sampling at these sites is conducted by several members of IMOS NRS Biogeochemical project. Sampling at the sites began between 29/9/2008 and 8/11/2010 and is currently ongoing for 7 sites. Sampling ceased at Ningaloo and Esperance (WA) sites in Aug/Sept 2013.Sampling is conducted monthly (Esperance and Ningaloo were 3 monthly) off small vessels. Depths sampled range from surface to 105 metres depending on the site. Depths are usually sampled at 10 metre intervals. Provide a record of physical, chemical and biological (plankton) changes in Australian coastal waters. 2. Record data as part of a larger comprehensive national dataset, comprising both continuous in-situ sampling and analysis of discrete physical, chemical and biological samples collected monthly. 本数据集记录了澳大利亚国家参考站（National Reference Stations, NRS）采样过程中填写的日志信息，该站点是综合海洋观测系统（Integrated Marine Observing System, IMOS）整体采样计划的组成部分。
IMOS NRS野外采样站点共计9个，分别为：塔斯马尼亚州玛丽亚岛（Maria Island, TAS）、南澳大利亚州袋鼠岛（Kangaroo Island, SA）、西澳大利亚州埃斯佩兰斯（Esperance, WA）、西澳大利亚州罗特内斯特岛（Rottnest Island, WA）、西澳大利亚州宁加卢（Ningaloo, WA）、北领地达尔文（Darwin, NT）、昆士兰州永格拉（Yongala, QLD）、昆士兰州北斯特拉德布罗克岛（North Stradbroke Island, QLD）以及新南威尔士州哈克港100号站点（Port Hacking 100, NSW）。
上述站点的采样工作由IMOS NRS生物地球化学项目的多个参与方共同完成。各站点采样工作于2008年9月29日至2010年11月8日期间陆续启动，目前7个站点仍维持常态化采样；西澳大利亚州的宁加卢与埃斯佩兰斯站点则于2013年8-9月终止采样。
采样工作通常每月开展一次（埃斯佩兰斯与宁加卢站点为每3个月一次），依托小型近海船舶实施。采样水深覆盖表层至105米，具体范围依站点而异，通常以10米为间隔设置采样层位。

作为澳大利亚联邦科学与工业研究组织（Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, CSIRO）海岸监测项目的一部分，3个国家参考站站点的历史观测数据集已对外开放，分别为：1944-2008年玛丽亚岛海岸站数据集、1953-2010年哈克港100米海岸站数据集以及1951-2009年罗特内斯特岛海岸站数据集。上述历史数据集的元数据与获取链接已在下文提供。
本数据集的存储与访问将依托IMOS基础设施实现与其他国家及国际海洋观测项目的互操作性。站点元数据可通过本资源直接获取。所有数据均可通过澳大利亚海洋数据网络（Australian Ocean Data Network, AODN）门户免费获取，访问地址为：https://portal.aodn.org.au。
本项目的核心目标如下：1. 系统性记录澳大利亚沿海水域的物理、化学及生物（浮游生物）群落变化情况；2. 将采集的观测数据纳入国家级综合海洋数据集，该数据集包含月度原位连续采样与离散物理、化学、生物样品的实验室分析结果。
