Unveiling Cancer-Related Metaplastic Cells in Both Helicobacter pylori Infection and Autoimmune Gastritis

We used 10X 5' single cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) technology to examine the transcriptional profiles of distinct gastric metaplastic cell types within the gastric corpus of mice chronically infected with Helicobacter pylori or chronically inflamed with autoimmune gastritis and humans with autoimmune gastritis. Overall design: Using 5' 10X scRNAseq we transcriptionally profiled cells derived from the corpora of 2-7 mice either chronically infected with H. pylori (Hp) or chronically inflamed with autoimmune gastritis (TxA23) and patients with autoimmune gastritis (AIG). Replicates are of the same disease state. In analysis, metaplastic cells were identified by signature score and isolated for a further phenotypic comparative analysis.
