This volume shows name and address of person "desirous of obtaining labor" (ie. prospective employer); description of labor required; and conditions offered (wage, term, board, lodging etc.); and date when offer accepted or withdrawn. Interleaved at a few places throughout are memoranda and lists, apparently filed there by various clerks for future reference. These are either original correspondence from prospective employers, or extracts showing positions open as at various dates.(4/4686). 1 vol.
