The drivers of plant turnover change across spatial scales in the Azores - dataset associated

Dataset of publicly available biodiversity information of seed plant records from the Azores. It contains 159,411 georeferenced occurrences result of the compilation, cleaning, enrichment and validation from the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF 2019; ATLANTIS initiative in the Azores). This database is associated to the paper Leo et al. (2024) The drivers of plant turnover change across spatial scales in the Azores. 

Format: csv file with semicolom field separators and UTF-8 encoding

gbifID (numeric): unique identifier of record

bioportal_name (character): name of the taxon (Genus + species) as included in the Azores bioportal (https://azoresbioportal.uac.pt/)

family (character): taxonomic family of the taxon as included in the Azores bioportal (https://azoresbioportal.uac.pt/)

biportal_status (character): origin of the taxon as included in the Azores bioportal (native or endemic, https://azoresbioportal.uac.pt/)

Cat.Schaefer (character): dispersal syndrome of the taxon as detailed in the Supplementary Material of Schaefer et al., 2011, Ecology Letters, DOI 10.1111/j.1461-0248.2011.01600.x

year (numeric): year in which the record was sampled

Lon (numeric): Longitude

Lat (numeric): Latitude

island (character): name of the island in which the record is located

Type100 (character): Habitat type corresponding to the cell in which the record is located (Seminatural pasture, SemPast; Naturalized vegetation, NatVeg; or Natural Forest, NatFor)

plot.id (character): unique identifier per each cell, corresponds to Lon + Lat pasted together
