Complaints about digital advertising in the UK 2023, by ad location

Most complaints about digital ads filed to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) in 2022 regarded adverts appearing on the advertiser's own website, social media account or app. Second largest category were influencer ads (website, social media or app). In general, online ads attracted most complaints, followed by ads in TV and outdoor media. The ASA is the advertising regulator in the United Kingdom (UK).
