Transcriptome profiling of taxane-resistant, castration-resistant prostate cancer cells versus parental control cells

The purpose of the study was to assess the transcriptomic differences between taxane-resistant cell lines and parental control cells to identify drivers of resistance. A total of 6 samples were analyzed in this study, C4-2B and DU145 (parental cells), docetaxel-resistant C4-2B and DU145 cell lines TaxR and DTXR, and cabazitaxel-resistant, docetaxel-resistant derivative cell lines, CabR and CTXR. Cell were harvested, RNA was Trizol extracted, and samples submitted for RNA-sequencing.
