Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death worldwide, with a poor survival rate despite recent therapeutic. A better understanding of the tumor and microenvironnement complexity is needed to improve patients outcome. We applied a computational immunology approach (involving immune cell proportion estimation by deconvolution, transcription factor inference and immune score estimation) in order to better characterize bulk transcriptomics of primary lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) samples from patients across disease stages. We validated our findings using an independent LUAD cohort with bulk and scRNAseq data.
