this data describes the world wide production of aluminium from 2006 to 2010. The metal content for each country is expressed as tonnes. the data was sourced from the World Mineral Production report 2006-10 which is published by the BGS. The data was converted to a usabile format and linked to country outlines using the ISO3 code (manually inputted). You can find the original pdf here: http://www.bgs.ac.uk/mineralsuk/statistics/worldStatistics.html. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2012-11-28 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-21.
