Recovering new viruses from New Mexico soils

Here, we utilized shotgun metagenomic sequencing to assemble the genomes of viruses from high-elevation soils in New Mexico. This dataset represents 12 viromes (size-filtered at 0.22 µm) and 11 metagenomes (non-size-filtered). Each file represents one metagenome or one virome. The sequences in each file are medium or high-quality viruses as assessed by checkV.
