Urban vitality dataset of 27 cities in Yangtze River Delta（2000）

Urban vitality is an important driving force of urban sustainable development and affects people’s well-being. The conceptual framework of "vital triangle" includes three dimensions: growth, diversity, and mobility. Based on this framework, we designed an evaluation index system with 28 indicators in six dimensions, including population, economy, society, government, environment, and external links, to evaluate the urban vitality of 27 cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and obtained the urban vitality dataset (2020). The dataset includes: (1) the evaluation results of six dimensions: population vitality, economic vitality, social vitality, government vitality, environmental vitality, and external link vitality of 27 cities in the Yangtze River Delta; (2) Evaluation results of the comprehensive urban vitality index of 27 cities in Yangtze River Delta. The dataset is stored in .shp and .xlsx formats, and the data size is 1.12 MB. It can provide references for the study of high-quality urban development, talent innovation, and integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta, and can also provide decision support for urban planning and management.
