资源简介:
Point Reyes National Seashore (PRNS), a unit of the U.S. National Park Service (NPS), contains some of the highest quality remaining coastal dune habitat in the U.S. This habitat, however, has been seriously threatened by encroachment of European beachgrass and iceplant since being planted for dune stabilization in the early 1900s. Concerned about the impact on native dune habitats and rare plant and wildlife species, PRNS embarked in 2001 on an ambitious restoration program, removing 110 hectares of invasive European beachgrass and iceplant from 213 hectares of former native dune habitat over the past 20 years. This subproject collected soil samples from sites that have been treated with herbicide on 2012, 2016, and 2018. We are interested in how herbicide impact the soil microbial communities and their extracellular enzyme activities.
