X-band radar wave analysis system (NJZ-1882), produced by Japan Radio Co. Ltd., was installed at the bridge to obtain a continuous and detailed wave data along the ship trajectory. The signal from X-band radarinstalled in R/V Mirai is used for the wave analysis. Bulk wave parameters such as significant wave height, wave period, wave lengeth, and wave direction were calculated and recorded.
