First genomic data of Platynota sp. from Hural, Peru, a pest that damages blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum) leaves and fruits. Genomic DNA was extracted from insects and sequenced using the Oxford Nanopore MinION platform. The mitochondrial genome was assembled for taxonomic classification, marking the first official genomic report of Platynota sp. associated with blueberries in Peru.
