This dataset includes all raw data needed to recreate the analyses presented in the paper:<br>Read, Q. D., J. A. Henning, and N. J. Sanders. Intraspecific variation in traits reduces ability of trait-based models to predict community structure. Journal of Vegetation Science, accepted. (DOI forthcoming)<br>Included are 4 .csv files, described below. In all cases, missing values are coded as NA, the native R designation for missing values. In addition, the file <b>columnmetadata.txt </b>includes a fuller description of each of the columns in the 4 .csv files, and <b>speciescodes.csv </b>links species codes in the other data files with the accepted scientific name.<br><b>communitydata.csv</b> - Each row represents a quadrat at a given site, with columns containing percent cover for each species.<b>observationalsitedata.csv</b> - Each row represents a study site, with columns containing abiotic variables measured at each site.<b>rangesizes.csv</b> - Each row represents a species and its range size estimated from GBIF.org occurrence records.<b>traitdata.csv</b> - Each row represents an individual plant from one of the study sites, with associated identifying information and trait measurements.<br><br><br><br><br>
