Economic Neighborhood Empowerment Zones No.10

Title 12 of the Local Government Code, Section 378.002 requires the creation of the City of Dallas Economic Neighborhood Empowerment Zones. City of Dallas Economic Neighborhood Empowerment Zones encourage an increase in economic development in the zones by promoting increased business and commercial activity, job retention and job growth by smaller businesses, increased occupancy of existing building space, reinvestment in existing building stock, and workforce development job training programs. The City of Dallas Economic Neighborhood Empowerment Zones promote: (1) the creation or rehabilitation of affordable housing in the zones, (2) an increase in economic development in the zones, and (3) an increase in the quality of social services, education or public safety provided to the residents of the zones.
