Light-Field Material is a novel 4D material light field dataset. This dataset contains 12 material categories, with 100 images captured by Lytro Illum for each category. Researchers have extracted approximately 30,000 patches from these images in total. As a medium-scale dataset, it is primarily used for material recognition research, and can also be applied to other emerging applications such as object detection, image segmentation, and view interpolation.
