资源简介:
Compassion, at a basic level, means to suffer with another person. It involves both \"feeling with\" another person and taking action to alleviate that person's suffering. A great deal of theoretical work has been done on compassion, but, despite its prevalence in healthcare discourse, action-oriented practical research about compassion has been lacking. This research project sought to explore the question \"how do nurses enact compassion in pediatric intensive care?\" The question focused specifically on the context and perception of nurses in PICUs. Data were collected in seven interviews with PICU nurses. Four interviews were conducted on Zoom and three were conducted in person. Transcripts were made from audio recordings. Those transcripts along with the consent form and interview questions have been uploaded in both .txt and .pdf files. University of Alberta Ethics approval: Pro00117798 While these interview data are openly accessible, they are to be reused only for research purposes. If any component of that research requires ethics approval(s) then it is the responsibility of the researchers to ensure that appropriate ethics approval(s) are in place and kept in good standing throughout the course of the research.
