The outcome of this project is demonstrating a scientific basis for implementing public health measures to control the spread of resistant bacteria and infection with antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) bacteria in Japan as well as developing countries including Vietnam, Ecuador and Thailand. This study aims to clarify the dissemination mechanisms of AMR bacteria spreading in the local communities. In addition, the other important objective is developing a new practical, simple and rapid detection method for AMR, which contributes to choosing an appropriate antibiotics for infectious disease and monitoring AMR bacteria.
