Geochemical data on Terra rossa, Loess, and Flysch samples from Istria, Croatia
收藏资源简介:
A total of 69 samples were analyzed for their geochemical composition. The sample set comprises 36 terra rossa samples (12 from the Koreniki profile, 19 from the Rovinj profile, 3 from the Susak profile, and 2 from the Savudrija profile), 24 flysch samples (6 arenites and 6 marls from Cerovlje, and 12 marls from Boljun), and 9 loess samples from Susak island. Geochemical analyses of both the soils and their potential parent materials (flysch and loess) were carried out at ACME Analytical Laboratories (Canada). Major oxides and selected minor elements were determined by inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry (ICP‑ES), whereas rare earth elements (REEs) and other refractory elements were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP‑MS). Prior to analysis, all samples were prepared by lithium metaborate/tetraborate fusion followed by digestion with dilute nitric acid.
