Digital Gene Expression data of human serum sensitive and resistant group 2 Trypanosoma brucei gambiense

Trypanosoma brucei gambiense is the causative agent of the fatal human disease African sleeping sickness. Using Digital Gene Expression we have compared the transcriptome of two isogenic T.b.gambiense lines that are either sensitive or resistant to human serum. RNA was extracted from 3 human serum sensitive and 3 human serum resistant T.b. gambiense cultures (from human serum). Digital Gene Expression libraries were created and were sequenced using Illumina next generation sequencing technology. 2 additional human serum resistant T.b. gambiense cultures in 20% fetal bovine serum.
