Roll Call Votes in the Puerto Rican Assembly

This dataset contains cleaned roll call vote data from the Puerto Rican Legislative Assembly (House and Senate) spanning 327,773 individual votes cast across 8,449 bills by 256 legislators from the years of 2013-2024. Included in these files are: - a CSV file with the roll call votes tagged with unique legislator and bill IDs - CSV files including each legislator's two-dimensional NOMINATE score for each year measured, alongside summaries of all NOMINATE scores in a given chamber and year - the raw roll call vote PDFs The R scripts used to generate this data can be accessed using the GitHub link in the README. This research was undertaken through the Yale ISPS Democratic Innovations program, and was advised by Shiro Kuriwaki.
