This record series comprises Annual Reports of the organisation and Reports of the Chief Engineer The extant Annual Reports date from 1966 to 1984. The extant Reports of the Chief Engineer date from 1957 to 1982. The Reports of the Chief Engineer are as published in the Annual Reports. The period that they cover precedes in part the period covered by the extant Annual Reports. Therefore they have been appraised for permanent retention.The title of Chief Engineer changed to that of Engineer in Chief during 1975-1976.
